Who Is Mikey J White?

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” – George Bernard Shaw

HOMELAND – New Zealand

I grew up in a large family in New Zealand and moved to Australia in 2007. I have lived there since (apart from stint in Canada on a working holiday) and currently reside in MelbourneI’m always up for an adventure and spend all my savings on travel and experiences rather than ‘things’. Many times I’ve made the crazy decision to pack my life into a bag with little planning and head off on an adventure. I’m yet to regret it!

I’m a wanderer and a dreamer, an artist and creative, a crazy fool who loves to laugh and doesn’t take himself too seriously. I see the good in people and try to always have a smile, stay positive and spread love.  It’s exciting to see where the next adventure will take me and I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride.

  • ASIA (Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos)
  • AMERICA (Canada, USA, Mexico)
  • EUROPE (England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Spain)
  • OCEANIA (New Zealand, Australia)

It was meant to be a 2 week study/performance trip to the Globe Theatre, London with the NZ Young Shakespeare Company but the travel bug hit hard, I failed to board my flight home and with no idea what I was doing spent 3 months exploring England, Ireland, Scotland and Paris!

Thailand will always hold a special place for me and has been a second home for years with family living there. The people, the culture, the food, the beaches, the parties, the weather – it really has it all!

  • The year I spent in Canada on a working holiday was life-changing. Scoring a job there where I got to travel all across the country and be paid for it was incredible, not to mention the scenery was epic!
  • Travelling through Europe without a plan – especially discovering unexpected countries like Albania and road tripping through Spain was amazing!
  • Getting off the beaten track to experience the jaw-dropping scenery in Laos.
  • A solo adventure through beautiful Vietnam.

“Adventure is a path. Real adventure—self-determined, self-motivated, often risky—forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind—and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.”
